RackJack

The short version

RackJack doesn't ask for your name, email or any other personal information, and the letters you enter never leave your device. The site is free because it shows ads from Google AdSense, and Google may use cookies to show those ads. You can control how Google uses cookies, as described below.

Who we are

RackJack is a free word unscrambler at rackjack.app. If you have questions about this policy, email hello@rackjack.app.

The letters you enter

RackJack runs entirely in your browser. When you search, your letters are checked against a word list that has been downloaded to your device; they are not sent to our servers or anyone else.

Your letters are added to the end of the page address after a # (for example, rackjack.app/#bcatogd) so you can bookmark or share a search. Browsers don't send that part of the address to websites, so it stays on your device unless you choose to share the link.

Advertising and cookies

RackJack uses Google AdSense to show ads. Cookies are small files that websites store in your browser.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.

If you use an ad blocker, Google may show a message asking you to allow ads on RackJack. You can choose to allow ads or close the message.

To learn more, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and How Google uses cookies in advertising.

Your consent choices

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google shows a consent message asking whether ads may use cookies and personal data. If you don't consent, you may still see ads, but they won't be personalized. You can change your choice at any time using the privacy and cookie settings link that appears on the page after you've answered the message.

If you live in a US state with its own privacy law, such as California, you have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for personalized advertising. Visitors from those states will see a Do not sell or share my personal information link on the page; use it to opt out. RackJack itself doesn't sell personal information; this choice applies to the data Google uses to personalize ads.

Wherever you live, you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and use Google's Ads Settings to turn off personalized ads.

Information stored on your device

So that RackJack loads quickly and works offline, your browser keeps a copy of the app and its word list on your device. This copy contains no personal information, and you can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Hosting

RackJack is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard technical information, such as IP addresses and browser types, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details. We don't use this information to identify you.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit RackJack and how quickly the site loads. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other websites and doesn't collect information that identifies you. It isn't used for visitors from the European Union.

Children

RackJack is a general-audience site and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how RackJack handles information, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top.
